Biodegradable synthetic polymers include poly(glycolic acid) (PGA), poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and their copolymers—poly(lactic-co-glycolide) (PLGA) or poly(l-lactic acid) (PLLA), polydioxanone (PDO), poly(caprolactone) (PCL)—and the copolymers of trimethylene carbonate and glycolide [9–11].
